Alas, with the close of Penguicon 6.0 it has become apparent that we have outgrown our home for the last two years, the Northfield Hilton. It is with some sadness that we leave a place that has treated us brilliantly.
It is with a great deal of excitement, however, that we enter into a relationship with the Crown Plaza Hotel in Romulus, MI, just minutes from the airport. We have been able to take advantage of a fantastic new function-space layout to create some amazing programming. A newly expanded ConSuite promises a better flow along with more food and beverage, the new Gaming Room is larger and closer to snacks and drinks, there are more function rooms for even more interesting programming going on at once, and 50% more guest rooms, so that even more of you can be in the main hotel, rather than being forced into an overflow hotel.
You can make a reservation online through their reservation system by 1 April, 2009 for our special group rate of $94 per night (which includes free Internet in every room). If you call for your reservation, please ensure that the hotel staff is aware that you are looking for the Penguicon room block.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Please specify smoking or non-smoking. Please specify your room-type preference. Most importantly, please recognize that the hotel is hosting a convention, and will undoubtedly get noisy. Please specify that you would like a quiet room if you wish to be away from the noise.
